Dark blue Pontiac Vibe has been parked here for a month or longer without plates. It appears it's being used for storage and/or unwanted items.
On August 18th at around 8:15pm, two female puppies at Rev Earnest D. Butler Park were roaming free without a collar. The two dogs then followed my dog and I back to my home. I then loaded the dogs in my car and drove back to the park area and surrounding streets in hopes of finding someone looking for two lost dogs, but I found no one. I then went to the Bloomington " Animal lost and found" Facebook page and discovered that these dogs were found loose on August 1st, 2023, and returned to the owner (no name provided on the post). I then posted about the found dogs on the facebook page last night, to which the alleged owner, Nicole Lynn Davis, replied the following day around 11am and requested I call her immediately so that she can retrieve them. I have contacted the owner, but she has yet to reply. The phone number she provided is 812-509-4809. Assuming the owner respondes, I am concerned that I will be returning these dogs back into the hands of neglectful and irresponsible owners. These dogs are afraid to leave my side and seemed very relieved upon allowing them into my home.
Tree overhanging the stop sign on 4th street (east side). Stop sign not visible and cars are driving through the intersection without stopping .
There is an individual who at least on a weekly basis, tosses many empty beer cans (up to a half case at a time) into the cleared area of Griffey that is on Dunn, across from the group home. The Blue Ridge Bushwackers have removed the honeysuckle from this area and work to keep it clear. We regularly pick up this person's litter. Is there anything that can be done to discourage this behavior? Could we put up a fake camera and/or sign warning them? What suggestions would you have for us? Thank you! Jeannie Galbreath
There is a tree behind my house on city property that is a danger to my house and property. It looks like it could fall like others back here. It needs cut down.
Owners/occupants of this address continuously neglect their yard. Excessively tall grass and plants in front and back of property. Invasive bamboo is spreading rapidly into neighboring properties due to their carelessness. Property is a constant eyesore and is negatively affecting neighbors on all sides.
There are pieces of glass on a portion of Trail 2 at Griffy Lake. I attached a screenshot of the AllTrails map and highlighted the portion of the trail where we noticed it. It feels oddly intentional… there are at least three different types of glass (green, brown, and clear), all pieces are all relatively small, and they are spread out pretty evenly. I unfortunately did not take a picture of any of the glass. I also did not continue on that portion of the trail to know if the issue is more extensive.
The people who live in this house (3616 South Eddington Drive, Bloomington, IN) have turned Eddington Drive into a parking lot. There are at least 9 adults living in this house. Today, they have 4 cars parked in their driveway and 5 cars parked on the street, all the way down to Allendale Dr. Is this occupancy legal . . . is this house a legal "Multiple household dwelling"? This is supposed to be a residential neighborhood, not a student rental area.
The first priority of public street is to maintain a safe condition for people to drive. When someone take the advantage of “free legal parking” to extend personal “driveway” into public street permanently, do create a hazardous driving situation and the function of public street has been completely destroyed.
