An employee from hfi mechanical group filmed the children playing at the splash pad. If it’s for the city’s use I understand but if not I think it needs to be looked into.
Can you clarify if smoking is allowed at the new switchyard park? We were there last night to play Bocce, and a large group was congregating (ant not playing Bocce) on the courts, smoking. There was another group smoking in the shelter near the splash pad. If smoking is not allowed, will there be any enforcement?
People using the field at RCA Park as a dog park; two bully-breed dogs off leash. Owners were smoking on park grounds and did not pick up dog feces. The dogs were not in an enclosed area and at one point ran onto the playground where there were small children playing. This was extremely unsafe. Dog owners drive a large red ford truck with black trim. License plate CBL917. Please investigate so these people know not to do this again. I fear for the safety of the people who visit the park. Thank you!
What improvement is in store for the Bryan Park tennis court? It's a good social distancing sport. Could this work have waited till Fall?
1) Why are white and orange circles sprayed up the slope between the basketball court and the picnic shelter? 2) is it true that ragweed can not be mowed along the east and west sides of the stream that joins Sheridan Creek? A guy pruning bald cypress told me that, but I know that some years it is kept under better control. I don't think mowing closer will endanger the plentiful jewel weed, senna, cup flowers, blue mist flower, etc.
Our neighborhood park is almost constantly being now used by a guy giving tennis lessons to folks who don't live near. Is that allowed? Maybe it is but is a bummer he makes money while we can't use them. Not sure what the solution that is best
Hello I have noticed a ton of cigarette waste at switchyard park. I also noticed there is a lack of trash cans along the trail in SWP. I know the park is still under development and trash recepitcals are forthcoming. However, I wanted to let the P&R dept. know about cigarette waste recycling through terra cycle. Lots of people sleeping in the public seminary square park overnight. I was under the impression this isn’t allowed. Also lots of people littering and drinking alcohol in this public city park.
New? nets on bball court are still too tight and bballs get stuck. Been a few weeks and still not working. Plz help!
