Fallen tree Rogers street just north of Ellington stables
A few years ago, Duke Energy installed this abomination of a culvert behind my back yard, adjacent to Rogers Road. They also installed two embarrassingly undersized culverts in the dry stream bed immediately south of this culvert further into my property. This was all done to get a truck back to a utility pole. After the two culverts clogged routinely, flooded the property, and were shown to be entirely insufficient, I complained and they removed the double culvert. I complained at the time about this awful eyesore of a culvert adjacent to the road, but they did nothing. The culvert served no purpose but to allow a vehicle onto the property without having to traverse a small dry stream bed. With the other culverts now removed (which were used to traverse the next dry stream), there is no reason for any vehicle exit Rogers Road at this location. Please, for the sake of our city’s beauty and the beauty of my back yard, have someone remove this grossly-too-long, rusted, paint-peeling culvert that serves no purpose. I hope all of the gravel can be removed as well, but I would be overjoyed with the sole removal of the pipe. Many many thanks for your consideration!
