Weddle Brothers is requesting approval of a temporary right-of-way closure at South College Avenue to accommodate completing the enclosure at the connector portion of the Bloomington Convention Center Expansion Project that will span from the new expansion on the east side of South College Avenue to the west side of College Avenue. The request includes temporary closures of: the western sidewalk, the existing eastern pedestrian diversion, and College Avenue south of 3rd Street, as necessary to safely complete the work. The closure(s) are proposed from June 30, 2026 through July 24, 2026. Pedestrian and vehicular traffic will be maintained, shifted, or rerouted in accordance with the approved maintenance of traffic plan. In addition to the right-of-way closure requests Weddle Brothers has also submitted a noise permit application that would only be used to meet the deadline of reopening the right-of-way on July 24, 2026.
