Road Closed

Beginning at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 10, City of Bloomington Utilities (CBU) will close a portion of North Monroe Street south of the intersection of North Monroe Street and 17th Street to allow crews to complete utility work in the area. To accommodate school traffic in the area and minimize disruptions, crews will complete the project overnight from 6:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. Thursday and Friday nights. Motorists should use alternate routes and are encouraged to use caution while traveling near the work zone. CBU staff will work to minimize disruptions and maintain access to nearby homes and businesses whenever possible. As with all construction activities, the schedule is subject to change based on weather and field conditions.
