On the second Wednesday of every month from 4:30–8pm, Kirkwood Avenue in front of the Monroe County Public Library transforms into a shared dining room and open-air gathering space. Bring your people, grab takeout from participating local restaurants offering special deals, and sit down together at long family-style tables set right in the middle of the street.
Along the block you’ll find local art vendors, community partners hosting hands-on activities, and a rotating lineup of buskers filling the air with live music. The Front Porch Trailer brings casual lawn games and extra space to hang out, play, and linger a little longer.
It’s part dinner, part street fair, part neighborhood hangout. Come eat, wander, play, and stay awhile.

Beginning Wednesday, June 10, City of Bloomington Utilities (CBU) will implement an eastbound lane restriction on West Second Street between South Walker Street and South Euclid Avenue. The restriction will begin at 5:00 a.m. and is necessary for utility work in the area.
On Thursday, June 11, the work zone will shift to the westbound lane of West Second Street between South Walker Street and South Euclid Avenue. The lane restriction is expected to remain in place throughout the day, weather and field conditions permitting.
