TO AMEND TITLE 6 OF THE BLOOMINGTON MUNICIPAL CODE ENTITLED "HEALTH AND SANITATION" - Re: Changes to Chapter 6.12 (Smoking in Public Places and Places of Employment) that Define an "Electronic Smoking Device" [ESD] and Add the Use of an ESD to the Definition of "Smoking"

This ordinance seeks to amend the City's current Smoking Ordinance by prohibiting the use of Electronic Smoking Devices in the same public places and places of employment where smoking is already prohibited.

Note: On April 19, 2017, the Common Council adopted two amendments: First, Am 01, which revised the definition of "Retail tobacco store" to include retail stores that are primarily utilized fore the sale of electronic smoking devices and accessories; and, second, Am 02, which revised 6.12.070 to require signage clearly indicating the use of electronic smoking devices are prohibited.
