This amendment is sponsored by Councilmember Neher and does three things. Itincreases the permitted decibel level for generators from 60 dBA to 70 dBA. Itestablished a distance of four feet by which the decibel level of the generator is tobe measured. Lastly, in an effort to allow existing generators to be modified to meetthe new levels, the requirement that the manufacturer's specifications be submittedit also being deleted.
