This amendment is sponsored by Councilmember Volan and replaces the words “Alternative” with the words “Bicycle and Pedestrian” wherever it appears before the word “transportation” in the Plan, except where it refers to the 2001 Plan or is used in a different context. It also notes that change in the body of Resolution 08-02. The purpose of the amendment is to help change the public’s thinking about bicycle and pedestrian forms of transportation so that they are considered co-equal to and not an “alternative” to driving a car.
