Utilities Construction: Request

I am a cyclist who lives on Weimer Rd. and commutes to work @ Monroe Hospital and attends IU. Currently I have had to start using Tapp rd. to 37S. when the clear creek bike trail is inaccessible. Both sides of Tapp have construction debris (mud, gravel, straw, etc...) it makes it both difficult and at times unsafe for cyclists. If I may request an occasional cleaning of both the side run off areas as well as the partially occluded sewers. And if I may be so bold as to ask if there is a way for you to relay a message to the State Dept. that is in charge of 37 debris removal. My selfish area of interest are the breakdown lanes from 2nd to Victor Pike, on both N. and S. sides as this is my alternative to the back roads and bike trails. Thank you very much. Randy Craw

This is still open and was assigned to Lee Jones. If this is completely resolved, just close it out. Thanks!

CBU Public Affairs Specialist Jon Callahan left a voice-mail with Mr. Craw at his place of employment that included the following information. CBU has contacted the contractor of the Tapp Road project to remind them they are responsible for construction debris removal during the period the construction is underway. The contractor was also reminded it is their responsibility to see that the partially occulded sewers are free of debris while construction is underway. CBU will relay Mr. Craw's concerns to the Indiana Department of Transportation. Mr. Craw was also provided the phone number of the Department's district office in Seymour, Indiana.
