On Saturday evening, I was running on the Renwick Trail that connects Moores Pike to Sare Road. On the trail, a man was repeatedly driving a moped with children on the back of the moped. The trail, I believe, is intended only for cyclists, runners, and walkers, not for motorized vehicles, though there is no sign overtly prohibiting such use. The trail is winding and narrow and it was getting dark, making it very dangerous for this moped to drive through the trail. Several runners had to step off the trail to avoid the vehicle. I confronted the man about the issue, telling him it was not safe, but he was resistant, saying if I showed him a sign he would stop. I suspect he intends to ride the trail again. I request that, assuming such use of the trail is prohibited, a sign for the trail and for the police to keep an eye out for this man on his moped to keep the trail safe. Thank you.

Mr. Okulski, Although there are future plans for the trail being transferred to the City, the Renwick Trail is not owned by the City of Bloomington. It is still privately owned. Any complaints should be forwarded to the staff at Renwick. If you have any further questions or concerns, my contact information is listed below. Respectfully, J. D.
