Utilities Construction:
I'm considering buying a property at 2102 S Rockport Rd. that is currently on a septic system. Is there any sanitary sewer nearby or plans to install in the future? What would the connection fee be? Thank you.

Mr. Guinn, This location does have access to sanitary sewer. For Single Family residences, the Connection Fee is $1,000. There are actually two options for location of connection; to the north and to the southeast. The decision as to which to choose would be dependent upon the grade change needed to accommodate adequate gravity flow from the house. The sewer mains in this neighborhood were installed as a neighborhood project, whereas, those living here are responsible to share in the cost of the construction. This fee is paid by the homeowner at the time they choose to cnnect. The Construction Fee does go up over time, based on the Construction Cost Index as figured by Engineering New Record.
