The following was e-mailed on 5/8/13: We agree that walking a golf course when it is open is not a good idea. We do police it when we can but with 27 holes and many acres and several access points, it is not very efficient. The best method is the public kindly warning walkers that it is not a good idea to walk a golf course as it is not safe. On an interesting note, there is no threat from lawsuits in these situations. Folks that casually walk a golf course have never been successful in lawsuits across the country. History of litigation in this area shows that someone has to prove that a golfer maliciously and with "intent to harm" hit them. My experience as a golfer myself tells me it is pretty hard to hit someone when you are trying. Same goes for houses and cars. I just thought I would pass that along. I found it interesting.
