Lee Huss has inspected and stated that this tree is at "medium risk." He will schedule its removal sometime this winter.
Other: Have spoken with the Urban Forester, Lee Huss, and reported that, most unfortunately, the old sugar maple at the NE corner of my property appears to have died. The entire canopy of leaves has gone brown and is falling, the trunk and root base is shedding bark, and small to medium sized limbs are starting to fall. This tree is a city tree so I would like to begin the process of having it put in the schedule for removal (of course, after final confirmation of its apparent demise). I am concerned about the impact any fall storms and winter snowstorms will have on the dead limbs and trunks that are just above my home and bedroom. The address is 1115 W. 6th St. BTW, might also have a look at its twin maple, on the NW corner of the property too. It hasn't gone brown, but continues to loose limbs and appears to be in decline(?). Thank you, Jens Ksander
