Other: Hello, I'm not certain the best way to contact the City of Bloomington about this question, but I cannot seem to locate this information on your website. My husband and I are (attempting to become) first time homebuyers. We have been pre-qualified for an FHA loan, and in that process found mention of local programs offering to cover the 3.5% downpayment. Can you please direct me to infomation about these local grants? It would be immensly helpful to my husband and I. Thank you, Nichole

Nicole, The HAND Department has a down payment assistance program. In order to qualify, you needed to have completed our home buyer's class. the next class will not be until February 2014. The only other local assistance is through your financial institution if they are a member of the Federal Home Loan Bank. You can contact me at simsd@bloomington.in.gov if you have further questions.
