City of Bloomington, Indiana

Other: Hello- I was wondering if it's possible for the City to replant some of the trees along the bypass by Matlock Heights (between Dunn and Walnut). I live in the neighborhood on Vernon, and since the bypass was expanded we can now see a lot of traffic from our back deck, and the noise has increased significantly. Are there any plans to replace some of the trees that were removed in the process? I actually think our property values have gone down in the neighborhood because of it. Please let me know if there is anyone I can talk to or anything I can do?? Thank you!

e-mailed on 3/14/14: The area you are referencing is in the state of Indiana right-of-way and the city of Bloomington does not plant trees on state of Indiana right-of-way. The Engineering Department will provide us with a contact person from INDOT next week. We will pass along that contact information to you when we receive it. If you do not hear from me by the end of next week, please feel free to contact me again so I can do some prodding! Thank you.
