Business:

Other: On two occasions, I have shopped at Sahara Mart when no heat was in use. The first experience was at the 2611 E. 3rd Street location, and the other was the 106 E. 2nd Street location. The second time the workers were wearing coats, hats and gloves while working the cash register. When I asked "Did the heat go out on you?", the employee said that they "Do not have heat." After the words escaped his mouth he acted as if he didn't want to talk about it any further. I wasn't sure where to report this, so thank you for the opportunity to let the city know.

I think your best bet would be fore you or the employees to contact IN-OSHA and/or the Better Business Bureau. We've had a similar report on a different business. Below are links to both websites: IN-OSHA - http://www.in.gov/dol/2733.htm Better Business Bureau - https://www.bbb.org/consumer-complaints/file-a-complaint/get-started Thanks and please let me know if I can be of further assistance, Jason

Jason - please email Ms. Gibson and thank her for the report. Suggest that she or the employees may want to contact IN-OSHA and/or the Better Business Bureau. We've had a similar report on a different business. I'll forward you that email string, but there do not appear to be any state standards related to temperature for workplaces.
