This problem can't be fixed by the city. Its really a problem of how the lot was graded when the home was constructed (mainly how it was graded to save two mature trees).

Other: I live on the corner of Maxwell St. and Miller Drive at 1730 S. Maxwell Street and when it rains my front yard, near the street floods. A curb on the corner of the street would help this situation. I have noted a couple of other corners near my house where curbs have been installed (Circle Drive and Mitchell St.) to help with this same problem. Could someone please evaluate this issue and help me solve it.

I drove by the property and curbing will not solve the problem. There is a low spot in the front yard near a mature tree and if we curb the edge of pavement it will trap water in the yard. There is no real good solution. This home was built in 2006 and the lot was regraded. I believe if the lot had been graded properly they wouldn't have standing water in the front yard.
