The following was e-mailed to Linda on 5/14: Good morning! I received the same message from each of you through different formats, so I am responding to you both. Your e-mail raises some concerns regarding your event: 1. The city's Noise Ordinance prohibits having live or amplified music in our parks without first obtaining a noise permit (issued through the Board of Public Works). The Board of Public Works will not issue you a noise permit in one of our parks until you have obtained a Special Event Permit from us. Here is the link to the Special Event Permit application: http://bloomington.in.gov/media/media/application/pdf/16937.pdf 2. Your e-mail states that you are having a pig roast. Please be aware that you can only use the grills that are provided in the park/shelter. If anything beyond that is needed, you must check with us first. 3. Fundraiser events are considered special events and must be approved through the Special Event Permit process. Please contact either myself or Becky Higgins so we can determine how you need to proceed.
