Phone Call: Ms Underwood left a voice message for me on Friday 6/27/14 saying she was calling about the brick streets at 8th and Park and the sewer line that currently goes under the street.

I checked with Tom Axsom and he said he is not aware this is a trouble spot but will talk to Rick S. when he returns. I also checked the improvement plans for the Park St project and they are only removing and replacing the brick on Park, not on 8th St and the sanitary main is actually on 8th St. I returned her call but got her voice mail again. I left a message telling her what I had discovered and that we would not be able to replace the sewer main on 8th St.

She called me back and left another message on my voice mail saying the sewer line that runs along Park St is in total disrepair and the Utility Dept has to send someone out every Friday to check it and make sure it's still draining right. The entire street is dug up right now and this the ideal time to replace it. It's a waste of time to send someone out every week for 1/2 hour. Can I check to see if this can be done and report back to her.
