Never witnessed the issue Mr Kroener described.
Phone Call: Mr Kroener left a voice message yesterday indicating he owns the properties at 1306 and 1308 N Maple and they have a water problem. Runoff from the other development on the west side of the street crosses the street and floods their parking lot. He would like to make an appointment for me to come look at it.
Never witnessed the issue Mr Kroener described.
I still have not been able to witness the event he has described although I have checked many times. I will close this for now.
I received the following response to my email: "Dear Ms. Fleig: Thank you for following up on the issue at Maple Street. Unfortunately, we have been out of the country for extended periods and therefore I have been unable to take photographs so far. But I will follow up and inform you. Have a nice weekend Peter H. Kroener" to which I responded "I'll also keep checking it when we get a good daytime rain event."
I sent the following email to Mr Kroener today: "Mr. Kroener, Just wanted to get back with you on this issue. I have been out there four times during rain events in the last couple of months and have never seen any water from the apartments crossing Maple Street and flowing on to your property. Every time I have been able to get there when it is raining, water does flow out of the apartment drive but stays in the west gutter line of Maple St and continues north to the existing inlet about 100' north. Now I will admit that I have not been able to get there during a really heavy downpour (it seems like those happen at times when we're not at work) but I have seen a couple of decent rain events and have not been able to witness the problem you describe. Were you ever able to get photos or video? Thanks, Jane"
Mr Kroener sent the following email after our meeting: Dear Ms. Fleig: Thank you so much for meeting me in front of Sunflower Apts. today at 1:00 PM. As we discussed, the impact of the rain-water from across the street has been more severe than in the past, due to the tremendous thunderstorms. We would very much appreciate your help in eliminating this problem, which affects not only our tenants. We will attempt to take photographs of the situation and hope to be quick enough to reach the site, in order to photograph the overflow from across the street during a rainstorm. Again, many thanks for your willingness to investigate the possibilities to bring this situation under control. With kind regards, Peter H. Kroener Crown Management
I met with Mr Kroener this afternoon and understand his concerns. I told him I would like to visit the site during a rain event to see if we will be able to help the situation. I told him once I have been able to observe a large rain event, I will get back with him.
I returned his call and we have set an appointment on Thursday afternoon.
