Phone Call: Broadview resident called to complain about rental property across the street from 2508 S. Ford Avenue has an overgrown lawn, including cockle burrs.

DB the grass is cut but the burdock is huge. This plant is not on the weed list so I cannot write a ticket.

We hear from the complainant on a fairly regular basis. He says there are several overgrown yards in that area and the whole neighborhood has "gone down hill" since it was annexed into the city.
