Spoke with Bob Eckert via phone. Contractor has repaired road with temporary patch. Issue closed.
Other: The construction at the corner of 11th and Walnut of the new apartment building has left this area of Walnut hazardous and capable in inflicting vehicle damage even when travelling slowing, especially the utility cut across Walnut which has not been filled in to be even with the road surface. This is the same type of problem that existed at 11th and Rogers but is horizontal across the street instead of diagonal across the intersection. The problem at 11th was fixed but this one needs attention ASAP to prevent damage to vehicles and subsequent claims to the city for that damage. There are also breaks and holes and bumps in the pavement at the crest and going down the other side towards 12th street and so on. Thank you for your always prompt and excellent responses to my reports.
Most tickets of this type should be closed within 7 days, although some cases may be longer. 33 days have already passed.

emailed Mr Eckert; Mr Echert, On January 7th you notified the City via UReports that the construction at 11th and Walnut has damaged the pavement to Walnut Street. I wanted to respond to your issue to let you know that we are working on resolving the issue. The responsible contractor has been notified twice to have the street repaired. As of today he has indicated that he will place a cold winter patch on the utility cut in the travel lanes. The contractor will continue to monitor this cut throughout the winter and in the spring of 2015 will repair the roadway with a permanent patch. We apologize for any inconvenience that this may have caused you and we appreciate you bringing this to our attention. Please feel free to contact me with any further concerns regarding this issue. Sincerely, Roy Aten City Of Bloomington Planning and Transportation Department
