this is an active Duke site, they are in the process of repairing the sidewalk.
Other: Just after the overpass when headed north on Smith Road (toward 10th Street) there is a large pothole that takes up the entirety of the bike lane. That area had been closed off for several weeks to fix a hole created by the utility crew working on the power lines. However, it was not completely filled and the hole that was left cannot be biked over safely. The situation is now more dangerous than when the area was closed off, as there are no cones or tape to indicate to the cyclists and the drivers that the cyclist will need to enter the traffic lane to avoid wrecking over the pothole. As is, this serves a serious danger. Someone is either going to get hit by a car while trying to avoid the large hole the are not expecting, or hit it and fall into traffic.
Most tickets of this type should be closed within 7 days, although some cases may be longer. 21 days have already passed.
