Traffic Signals:

Other: I often bike north on Jordan avenue to 3rd St., then turn left onto 3rd with the traffic light. Before the recent construction, the left turn signal appeared to be on a timer, and now it seems to be activated by a metal-sensitive loop in the pavement. But so far I have been unable to trigger the left turn signal with my bicycle. I have been instructed to ride exactly on the wire, and I ride a steel frame bike from 1970, so it should have plenty of metal to be detected. Is there some way to make sure this traffic light actuator is sensitive enough to work for bicyclists as well as for cars?
