We provided the information they requested.

I met with her and her husband on 9/9 and explained the ponding/wet area was on their property. I also explained there is a drainage and utility easement along the entire back of their 3 parcels but it was not the responsibility of the city to maintain, the easement simply "set aside" the land for drainage and utilities and prohibited building structures in the area. They seemed to understand this. They also asked about the trees on the back side of their properties as some are starting to fail and they would like to have work done on them. I explained they would not need a permit if work was done on their property. They were uncertain where their property corners were. I had Mike Carter visit the site on 9/10 and he was able to find the existing property corners and the sanitary sewer manhole and he suggested they discuss the issues with their neighbors before moving forward with any work.

I returned her call when I returned on 9/3 and scheduled a visit for 9/9.
