Other: Hello, I live near the Building Trades Park. For at least the past six weeks, the shelter nearest the playground has been consistently occupied by the same three to six individuals. They are most likely homeless. About three weeks ago, they became violent with our neighbors, and the police were called twice. Two individuals in the group displayed a knife and a metal pole. Arguments seem to keep breaking out. These individuals also frequently have one to two dogs with them, which are not leashed. If other residents wished to use this shelter, they cannot. This group is there from at least 7am (when I leave my house in the mornings) until the park closes around 11pm. I don't feel safe knowing that this group has claim "turf" as if the shelter is their home. I've voiced my concerns with a Park Department Employee who told me that the group is entitled to stay there. This is a public park, not their home. I have lived on Howe Street for the past two years, and this has never been a problem. However, I do not feel safe anymore. Please address this issue. Thank you for your time.
