No current plans to replace speed bumps
Other: The speed bumps here are massive and are destroying my suspension. The speed limit is 25MPH in my neighborhood but I can't go more than 10MPH without my car bottoming out on the speed bumps or hitting my head on my car ceiling. I'm all for speed bumps enforcing a reasonable speed limit but having two gigantic speed bumps every block in my entire neighborhood is kind of silly. I have to drive over dozens of these a week when going to work and have now had to replace my struts ($900) and my shocks/shock absorbers are next ($800). I have a Toyota Camry, which is a pretty common and rather robust car generally speaking so I doubt my story is a unique one. Is it possible to lower the speed bumps? Thank you.
No current plans to replace speed bumps
Sent the following response to Mr. Meyer: "Mr. Meyer, Thank you for submitting your uReport regarding the speed bumps in your neighborhood on E Morningside Drive and I'm sorry to hear that your car requires work to replace some parts. The City doesn't currently have a plan to replace or modify any existing speed bumps. While some people may desire less severe speed bumps others may like them the way they are to keep speeds low and deter cut through traffic, and still others may have entirely different opinions. Please let me know if you have any additional questions or comments. Sincerely, Andrew"
Reassigned uReport to Planning and Transportation and informed Mr. Meyer to expect a response from that department.
