Other: Washington & Cottage Grove -- Miller Pipeline construction crew left their equipment blocking the sidewalk after they left for the day on Friday afternoon. This will probably remain on the sidewalk until they return on Monday morning. This seems like a substantial safety hazard, and extremely inconsiderate since they have the sidewalk on the other side of the street all torn up.

While this was not resolved Friday evening, City staff are working closely with Miller Pipeline and Vectren to improve their work in the community. Included in this is an effort for better notifications of upcoming work, adherence to stricter safety guidelines, proper repairs to sidewalks and street cuts among other topics. This is ongoing and will include a meeting with the Mayor, Vectren and Miller pipeline stressing the importance of these issues.
