A notice of violation letter was sent to the property owners. They eventually responded and set a day for abatement. The site was reinspected and line of sight is now adequate. There wasn't contact information for the citizen who reported this obstruction so they were not informed.

Reinspected this location today. The owners have trimmed and remedied the sight obstruction.

Mrs. Hales (owner) contacted me via phone today. The address used for both violation letters were no longer valid. They used to rent those properties but no longer do. Owner is currently living at the 800 W. 6th address. She states they will get the overgrowth causing the sight obstruction cleaned up on Tuesday (8/23). I am following up with HAND about the rentals to make sure things are as they should be. Mrs. Hales stated they have updated things with HAND already.

-The Stop sign at this location was replaced today after I contacted Mike Stinson about it being faded to a pink color.

No action was taken by property owner. I checked for owner info. with HAND because it is a rental property. The address they gave was different from the one I retrieved from GIS. I am resending the Violation letter today with the corrected address. Will give 10 more days for response/corrective action.

Inspected location 8/1/16. Line of sight analysis concludes overgrown brush is blocking view of eastbound traffic on 6th street for southbound motorists on Maple street attempting to turn East onto 6th st. Notice of violation letter sent to property owner today.
