This case was identified as a past problem and Dan Backler helped me investigate further into why it would be good to change the intersection. I brought it to the other Engineers after collecting crash records, traffic volumes and site pictures. They recommended changes to be taken to traffic commission. Traffic commission approved the changes. 90 day orders will be written. There wasn't constituent contact information for this uReport.

At Traffic Commission the following recommendation was accepted as a resolution for this location: Placing stop control on 8th Street instead of Grant Street in order to stop the lower volume street and relocating the on-street parking on Grant Street from the west side to the east side for half of a block both north and south of 8th Street in order to improve sight distance for eastbound vehicles on 8th Street. A 90 day order will be written and improvements will be implemented in the near future.

Inspected this location today, sight distance is not adequate. Shrubs on the NW corner of the intersection block the view of traffic traveling East on 8th. Motorists traveling South on Grant attempting to turn East onto, or cross 8th street do not have adequate visibility of motorists traveling East on 8th. Previously collected traffic data for this area shows the possibility that the parking on the North side of 8th st. could obstruct line of sight as well. Traffic count data shows the possibility that a Stop sign adjustment could be a possible solution. At this time options are being pursued to correct line of sight for this intersection.
