I sent a notice of violation letter to the property owner. The property owner contacted me via phone call to let me know they would abate the obstruction. They also let me know concerns they had about Stop sign placement and the line of sight for the West side of the intersection. I reevaluated the intersection after abatement and found line of sight to be adequate looking East and West from Circle dr onto Ruby Ln. I am going to speak with the Traffic Engineers about the Stop sign concern. I contacted Anne Ruddy via email to let her know sight distance wasn't adequate. i contacted her via email and phone call when the obstruction was abated to inform her the case would be closed.

I gave Anne a call today 9/21 to update her on the status of this case. I left a voicemail.

I spoke (phone call) with the property owner last week and they abated the obstruction by trimming the first two clumps of grasses. They spoke with me about the concern of sight distance at this location looking from Circle Drive to the West on Ruby Ln. AND about the stop sign location being so far back from Ruby Ln. I inspected that location and found sight distance to be very adequate, IF you are pulled up to the proper distance from the edge of Ruby Ln. I am going to talk further about this awkward intersection with the Traffic Engineers to see if there is a solution to the Stop sign and possibly a way to give citizens a more clear indication of where to stop for best sight distance.

I contacted the citizen via email about the intersection.

I inspected this intersection today. The tall grass on the Northeast corner of the intersection creates a line of sight obstruction. Drivers traveling South on Circle drive do not have adequate visibility of westbound traffic on Ruby Ln. when attempting to turn East onto Ruby Ln. I couldn't find a phone number so I sent a Notice of Violation letter to the property owner. Will recheck location in 10days.

Sara, please evaluate. I did this corner last year (you can look in the 2015 file). I think the property owner actually called me to discuss and was very responsive, but it doesn't look like I kept their number.
