Email: Kim Evans would like to know why the mowers have not been mowing the northern slope of Park Ridge East Park. It is becoming overgrown in areas we were previously able to walk.

Dave Williams responded: Mowing reductions have been introduced this season at most City parks. At Park Ridge East Park, the areas north of the creek and southeast of the sinkhole area are affected. System wide, the mowing reductions were established to save dollars on fuel and personnel costs as well as improve stormwater runoff into area creeks and streams. The evaluation of this mowing reduction program is ongoing and we appreciate your comments.
