Other: The traffic lights on 3rd street between college and grant seem to be off where they are not properly coordinating together. Every morning between 6:30-7:00 I have had difficulty because I will be at a red light with all lights ahead green. Then I get to the next red light and all lights ahead are green. So basically I have to stop and wait at each red light to get down 3rd street. This was not a problem before, mostly just in the past 1-2 weeks.

Hi Brett, thanks for submitting this uReport regarding the signal timing on 3rd Street. We're currently in the process of updating the signal timing citywide. College and Walnut were the first corridors to receive new timings. 3rd Street is currently planned to be the next corridor, though you're likely noticing changes to the intersections on 3rd with College and Walnut. I've passed along your comments to our engineering consultant developing and implementing the new timings. I'll also note that the new time of day patterns for the signals will most likely be transitioning somewhere between 6:30am and 7:00am which may also affect coordination at that time. The timing patterns for the signals vary by time of day to best accommodate the different volumes (e.g. low volumes overnight, higher volumes during the a.m. peak hour). While the signals transition between the different timing plans, it is likely that there will be a period of time where they are not as well coordinated. Thanks again and feel free to follow up if you would like to discuss further. Signal timings on 3rd Street and College Mall are currently scheduled for updates within the next few weeks so you will likely notice additional changes soon. - Neil
