The average width of the trail is 6 feet. Current design standards call for at least an 8 foot width for multi use trails. Multi use trails are designed for a mixture of pedestrians and bicycles. The bike route designated for crossing the park east/west is the trail on the south side of the creek. There is a plan in place to widen that section to link the Allen St. bike corridor on the west with the Southdowns and Sheridan route on the east side. This would be a multi use trail that is compliant with ASHTO standards of 8 to 12 feet. There are several capital improvement projects in the parks bond for Bryan Park and we work to include this as well.
