We have surveyed the site, created a design and drawn it in Autocad, and completed an estimate to determine the cost of the proposed project. Now we need to speak to the property owners about the design and get their input.

Yesterday an engineering crew visited the site and surveyed the downstream area to retrieve data necessary to design a solution.

I met Mr. Raff and the adjoining property owners at the site. They discussed their concerns and we examined possible solutions. I've assigned Technician Jay R. to survey the alley to the west and the area near 2nd/Eastside to see what CBU can do to help the situation.

I drove by the site today and noticed an old CMP pipe crossing Rose that looked like it might be plugged up on the downstream end (west side of road). It would help to ditch a little upstream both directions to direct the flow of water into the culvert pipe, and of course, clear the downstream end so it could flow properly. I still need to talk to the property owner to understand his specific concerns.
