Thank you for taking the time to communicate with the City of Bloomington regarding the intersection of 8th & Vernal. The Department of Public Works leases lights from Duke Energy and pays for the installation, energy usage and maintenance costs to illuminate the public right of way. The number of lights installed each year is dependent upon available funding. Each fall Public Works takes a look at citizen request locations and determines the installation list for the year.
