Discussed at Traffic considerations meeting 4/10.
Came to the conclusion that if a driver pulls forward to 10' from the edge of travelway in the very middle of the roadway (since it is a one-way st) sight distance is much improved and adequate. The pedestrian crosswalk can be used as a guideline for that measurement. The northernmost line of the crosswalk is approximately 10' back from edge of travelway, which is where the driver of the vehicle should be placed for best sight distance. The crash data for this intersection does not indicate a history that would indicate the need for stop control at this intersection.
We would also suggest that if this still isn't a comfortable solution for the driver that they try the alleyway east of Washington street or try Grant street as alternative routes.

I had a co-worker help me investigate this intersection on 3/29. We found at 14.5' back from the intersection line of sight was not adequate. When we adjusted to 10', line of sight was adequate.
our Engineering team will be discussing this intersection next Friday (4/7) to consider possibilities for improvement.
