A line of sight investigation was done at this intersection on 4/4/2017. Although line of sight was sufficient at 10' from edge of travelway the existing roadway configuration/pavement markings and parking on only one side of the intersection made it an uncomfortable place to attempt a northbound left turn. There were also a few accidents that indicated a concern for this movement. After considering these items at our traffic concerns meeting the decision was made to remove one parking spot, extending the yellow curb 20' on Buick Cadillac west of Automall rd. This should sufficiently extend line of sight for drivers attempting to turn west onto Buick Cadillac from Auto Mall Rd.
An email was sent to Street department to extend the yellow curb.
I contacted the constituent via phone call to inform him of the coming improvement and he was satisfied with the outcome.
