Sidewalk & Curb Complaints: Complaint

Email: There is no yellow paint or other indicator near the intersection so people don't part close to it. As such, turns become tight and difficult, as well as there being an obstructed line of sight because cars are in the way. The request is that there be some measure put in place to prevent parked cars from clogging the intersection.

I contacted the constituent about the parked cars at this location and they stated the timing varies on when people park there. I have been through numerous times at morning, afternoon and early evening without observing cars parked at this location. I informed the constituent that based on current observation and data collection (including crashes) we will not be installing yellow curbs at this time. i also let them know to contact us with any further questions or comments.

I evaluated sight distance for this intersection( 6/2/1017) and it is adequate. There were not any cars parked in the area at the time of investigation. I emailed the constituent (6/9/2017) to get information regarding times when this occurs most so I can reinvestigate the location (per engineer's suggestion).
