Traffic Signals:

Other: Adams and 2nd street lights, as well as Adams and Patterson lights, take what seems to be a much longer time for cars on either side of Adams. I have sat here for more than 5 minutes with almost no traffic on 2nd. I have also been in a line of 10 cars all waiting forever. Especially when only one car is on either side of Allen, this light is probably the worst I've experienced in town (2nd worst is Adams at Patterson, which also seems to have changed in the recent past to take forever). Please allow these two intersections to change so that the Adams lights on both have a more frequent change or less time to wait. Thank you.

No contact info provided, unable to follow up for details. Complaint sent to signal timing consultant who responded as follows. "We’ve looked at those a couple of times. The Adams & Patterson signal can be a bit painful but that’s to get the cross coordination with both 2nd and 3rd. However, “painful” is usually no more than ~60 seconds. We never observed a split failure out there and when we did see anything close to 10 vehicles they always cleared. Also, with all of the traffic during the PM there is that 15 minute period where 2nd & Patterson can back up which impacts the whole area (but not 2nd & Adams). If they are having problems at those two intersections I assume they are “cutting” through, tell them to turn right on 2nd and then left on Patterson and they won’t have those issues...."
