Unfortunately this intersection was built well before my time with the City so I don't know the details on choosing that radius. With our new infrastructure projects we routinely evaluate corner radii to find a balance between accommodating turns from large vehicles and maintaining low-speed turning movements to improve safety and comfort for pedestrians. We do not currently have near-term plans to do work at this particular intersection, but when we do we will certainly take your comments into consideration.
