Other: There is a disconnect between the lat/long feature of the application and City staff who use the application. I just had two tickets closed because I used the lat/long feature instead of a street address. Imagine my surprise when I went back and looked at older cases that I sumitted to find out they were closed, without notice, because "no location was given". Either training needs to increase or the lat/long feature should be removed from the application.

Most tickets of this type should be closed within 2 days, although some cases may be longer. 1 days have already passed.

Direct email sent: Just wanted to follow up with a direct email outside of the uReport system. Did you receive the following response directly from the system? We certainly want everyone to be notified any time there is a change in the status of a case. Also, if you'd like to share the case numbers for the cases that were closed even though the location was provided, I'd be happy to review the various location features of the system with those involved with those cases. We provide the lat/long and address as a convenience and both have their place. Thanks again for letting us know!

Thank you for your feedback on the uReport system. I went back through the list of reports, but I did not see any that were closed due to a missing location. I'm surprised to hear that you aren't receiving email updates about case status as actions are taken on the case. In October, 2016, we updated our Open311 system to send emails to those involved in the case to help keep everyone in the loop about any changes or actions to the case. This is one such action. I'll send a follow up email outside of the system to confirm that you received a notice. Thank you for using this service to let us know about issues in our City!
