Other: On East 17th Street in front of the Devault Alumni Center (1000 E 17th St) there is a well-used pedestrian crosswalk. The white stripes are faded and at the crest of a hill, which makes them difficult for cars to see. A sign in the center of the roadway to highlight where the crosswalk is would be more eye-catching and will help drivers notice the crosswalk. The crosswalk is also right across from a bus stop, so this causes further confusion for drivers, who may be unsure if people are waiting for the bus or getting ready to cross. If a new island type sign was erected and the bus stop was moved 40-50 feet east of the crosswalk, I believe it would make this area much safer for pedestrians and drivers.
