Other: Hello, I am a part of the Adapted Sports Program out of Indiana University. We are wanting to put on a fully inclusive 5K race around the second or third week of April. The plan is to do it along the B-Line trail through town. We are still working on details of the event however we are wanting to get more information as far as what we would need regarding permits from the city. Mr. Mehay, Thank you for contacting the City of Bloomington regarding planning a 5K event. If you want to only use the B-Line Trail, then you will need to contact Parks & Recreation Department at 812-349-3700. If you want to use amplified sound for announcements, you will have to apply for a noise permit and you can contact me for that at 812-349-3589 or at smithc@bloomington.in.gov. If you want to utilize city streets for your 5K event, you will need to contact Economic & Sustainable Development Department for a Community Event Application at 812-349-3418. Best, Christina
