This will remain on our radar. Street and Utilities will keep an eye on it.
Other: The culvert where the creek from "The Fields" crosses under Moores Pike is beginning to fail. The shoulder plus a few inches into the roadway on the south side of the street is beginning to collapse. Past efforts to shore up the roadway have involved dumping rip-rap to prevent undercutting of the roadway but this might be more serious. I noticed this in the evening and could not get a decent photo.
Most tickets of this type should be closed within 7 days, although some cases may be longer. 220 days have already passed.

On Wednesday 8/29, I met with Neil Kopper with P&T and Joe Vandeventer with the Street Dept. to inspect the road and look at our options. They didn't think anything needed to be done immediately but a long term solution should be investigated. I suggested extending the culvert pipe away from the road so we could backfill and support the pavement better. They agreed, so I'm looking into quotes on the pipe extension. We also need to check with the regulatory authorities over the stream to confirm what is allowed and make sure we are still working within the right-of-way or if an easement is necessary.
We will be meeting with Planning and Transportation in the next week or two, at the site, to discuss options. The condition doesn't warrant immediate action but we should be developing a plan to prevent the pavement from worsening in the future.
