Tried calling Scotty's Appliances to notify of Title 14 violation (not standard HAND jurisdiction). No answer. Will reattempt contact next week to explain concern.

Mick, there is nothing specific in what HAND enforces that would allow intervention. I did, however, find relevant Code in Title 14 mandating inaccessibility before the end of the business day.
Looking at Title 14 Peace and Safety, it deals with noise, firearms, unlawful conduct, etc. So I imagine Title 14 falls under Police by context of the Title. Steven, can you confirm you all handle Chapter 14.36 - Unlawful Conduct, and if so, explore whether 14.36.060 is being violated at the premises. Thank you. Let me know if I can assist further.

This does not fall under any outdoor storage standards of Title 20 that Planning can address. I am not sure who is best to direct this to.

I was a bit surprised to see the city does actually address this in 14.36.060 when I searched so there may be an issue if not securing at the end of the day.
"Such persons may store such devices on their premises, provided that the devices are stored in a safe manner at all times, and are made inaccessible to the public before the end of the business day."

Thank you for submitting information to us via uReport. We value your input and hope that we will be able to address your questions and concerns. HAND neighborhood compliance officers will inspect the property and determine if the cited trash at this property is in violation of Bloomington Municipal Code 6.06.070 (a). In the event of a violation, the neighborhood compliance officer will issue a Notice of Violation to the property owners via first class mail and by placing a copy of the violation on the property. After the Notice of Violation is issued, the property owner and/or tenant has seven (7) days to bring the property into compliance. If the property is not brought into compliance within the initial seven (7) days, the inspector may go to daily tickets.
