sent the following email to constituent: Beth, thanks for taking the time to submit this uReport regarding the signal at 17th and Fee. The signal timing along 17th Street was updated about two years ago. As a part of that effort, the protected left turn phases turning from Fee onto 17th were removed. The City's signal timing consultant determined that due to relatively low left turn volumes the signal would operate more efficiently without a protected phase. Left turns should proceed with the green light (permitted phase) after yielding to all oncoming traffic. If you have concerns, have experienced problems at this intersection, or would otherwise like to discuss further then please feel free to follow up for additional discussion.
