Potholes, Other Street Repair:

Other: I live at 2903 E. Daniel St. and yesterday I noticed a 2 to 3 inch wide tar strip running from my neighbors driveway to mine and a smaller strip on the recently paved street in front of my house. I first thought it was some sort of vandalism, but noticed it in several places along Daniel and on Forrester. I have no idea what purpose these tar strips serve as the road is in perfect condition. (no cracks that I can see) Just curious what problem this sticky solution was intended to solve. Thanks, Mike

Hello, We applied a crack sealer to the cracks in the street to try to make the asphalt last as long as possible, it seals the cracks and keeps the water from getting under the asphalt and causing a pothole. Thank you
