We have heard complaints about this location in the past and are interested to improve this crossing. Unfortunately, research has shown that simply painting a crosswalk in this type of context does not improve pedestrian safety (and in fact can decrease it). Crossing improvements will likely need to include a median refuge island, flashing beacons, or other types of improvements. We have been investigating options for improvements in coordination with possible private developments at this intersection, but at this time there are no definite plans.
